Over the last ten years, our understanding of cellular biology has accelerated, thanks in part to mapping of the human genome. New discoveries about the interaction of genes, DNA and RNA in the human cell have added to our knowledgebase, opening new possibilities for therapies and cures for some of the most devastating human diseases.

Cancers, inherited diseases and even infections have genetic roots that can be used to influence the disease course. What does this mean for you?...

Within fifteen years, treatments that are nearly 100% effective will be available for most cancers. Current therapies that we use to fight cancer use chemical agents, radiation, and surgery that crudely attempt to kill or remove cancer cells. Unfortunately, these treatments are limited by the harm they cause to healthy cells. The future AGTII is working toward will bring doctors the ability to use the cancer cell's own strategy against itself, inducing quick, natural death to cancer cells with nearly no effect on healthy tissue.

Researchers and pharmaceutical companies have already begun to adopt our technology, but we're not waiting for them. We have already developed and begun testing our therapeutic compounds against cancer, and presently have two products in our pipeline:

ProTarg™ is a genetic vector which interrupts the cellular mechanisms of prostate cancer. Our in-vitro tests have shown that this compound results in destruction of prostate cancer cells without any effect on normal, healthy cells. Pilot animal tests have provided evidence that whole body treatment of ProTarg is non-toxic to healthy metabolic function and harmless to non-diseased tissue. Experimental results showed no immune response to the genetic vector, and high efficiency of expression throughout all organs. Data from in vitro experiments showed complete prostate cancer cell killing and in vivo experiments showed complete tumor regression.

MesoTarg™ utilizes our platform to deliver therapeutic genes to attack pancreatic cancer cells. Initial in vitro testing of MesoTargT demonstrated complete cell killing.
